At the initiative of Jaume Tàpies, President of Relais & Châteaux, best chefs in the world will pay homage to the French Gourmet Meals subscribed since November 16, 2010 Intangible Heritage by UNESCO.
In the mythical Gallery of Battles, more than 600 guests are privileged to live an unforgettable culinary experience concocted by the greatest chefs in the world. Profits from the evening will be donated in full to the French Mission Heritage & Cultures Food (MFPCA), chaired by Jean-Robert Pitte, for the creation of the City of Gastronomy.

From the May 2008 meeting in Seville, the Grands Chefs Relais & Chateaux had called premonitory to be recognized, defended and promoted the art of gastronomy. These words were echoed in the text of Unesco.

This celebration is therefore quite legitimately in the process of Relais & Chateaux, this unique combination in the world, who's mission for over half a century the influence of the art of French living through all components: food, tableware and so on.

650 Euros. This is the price charged by Relais & Châteaux association for those who want to join a mega dinner at Versailles, near Paris, celebrating the "French gastronomic meal" inclusion in the list of UNESCO World Heritages.

 

I was confused, I confess.

 

Anyway, I think it is a nice excuse to gather the list of starred chefs.

 

Michel Troisgros, Daniel Boulud, Thomas Rode Andersen, Hélène Darroze and Thomas Keller cooking together?

It promises to be a "wild" night.

 

They only forgot to take off, the list of chefs "participants "  the name of the great Santi Santamaria, the Spanish chef who died on 16th. February....
