yamatsuka-santoku-170-blade-side.jpg

Built in 1896 as the home of Prince Roland Bonaparte - Napoleon Bonaparte's grandnephew - Shangri-La Hotel, Paris is situated in the elegant 16th arrondissement of Paris.

Restored by architect Richard Martinet, Pierre-Yves Rochon was in charge of interior design.

Rooms have fantastics views, but the most amazing view is from "Shangri-La suite" in the penthouse, with a private terrace.

Special mention for the Shangri-La suite:

I really liked the "daisy" ceiling lamp and the tabs, in Bernardaud china and white gold.

Details.

Just details.

But details make luxury.

From the terrace you have the feeling that Eiffel tower belongs to you.

You think about nothing.

You just see.

You just enjoy, stunned.

Call-to-Jaeger-LeCoultre-Reverso-owners.jpgWith so many variations in its versions, dimensions, complications, the Reverso is quite simply unique.

Unique in its history and its design, but above all, unique thanks to all those who one day decided to create “their own” watch. By wearing a Reverso on their wrists since 1931, men and women, be they famous or unknown, have made a cult out of a veritable icon.

In 2011, Jaeger-LeCoultre will celebrate the 80th anniversary of this iconic watch with the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin “Tribute to 1931″.

In parallel, Jaeger-LeCoultre will offer Reverso owners a place in the history of this watch and the brand. By personalising his or her Reverso, each person is adding a new line to the legend. And henceforth, all those who wish to can share their inspiration with other lovers of the Reverso across the globe through The Virtual Museum.

Jaeger-LeCoultre invites you to tell your story and exhibit your own Reverso in the Virtual Museum rooms.

Once your Reverso is registered, the Virtual Museum curator will exhibit your Reverso in one of the Virtual Museum’s rooms, thus making it part of the official Jaeger-LeCoultre story!

By exposing your Reverso in the Jaeger-LeCoultre Virtual Museum, you enter the exclusive world of this legendary watch, relive its history and meet the personalities who have worn one, for example, King Edward VIII of England, the celebrated aviator Amelia Earhart or the young English girls who wore watches engraved with the insignia of Eton College, Harrow or St. Andrews University …

And, if your watch is voted on by the Virtual Museum visitors, you may win the chance to visit Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture!

The exposition will be open to general public online starting January 2011.

Ebel-Beluga-Chocolate-Trio-Thumb.jpg1985 saw the birth of a watchmaking icon: the Ebel Beluga.

This sensual model has inherited its namesake’s voluptuous silhouette, and subtly plays on its inherent femininity with a disarming natural charm. In 2010, Beluga celebrates 25 years of glamour by treating itself to pleasures destined to delight the senses: three limited-edition variations on the theme of chocolate that transform a sweet tooth into a formidable weapon of seduction.

Ebel Beluga white chocolate, Ebel Beluga milk chocolate, Ebel Beluga black chocolate: three flavors, three temptations, presented in a harmonious combination of colors and imbued with a sensory appeal designed to create authentic gourmet pleasure. The sheer sensuality of chocolate lends itself perfectly to the unique Beluga personality.

Offering a sensorial discovery of time and an invitation to savor the passing hours, these tasty new timepieces are tempting by essence. The dials succumb to the delights of chocolate squares, while black, brown or white diamonds gently caress the softly rounded cases. Time is relished all the way through to the perfectly matching satin strap that melts seamlessly into the wrist and sets the final touch to an irresistible aura of refinement.

Ebel has called upon the talent of a famous Swiss chocolate-maker to toast Beluga’s 25th birthday by creating an original caviar-themed chocolate. A genuine architect of chocolate, Max Chocolatier loves to give body and soul to its luscious creations. Procuring a blend of gustatory and visual pleasures, they crystallize the essence of excellence and passion, leaving a subtle after-taste of unique expertise and creativity. Sharing the same emotional intensity suffused with genuine enthusiasm and a taste for precision, Ebel and Max Chocolatier have each devised their own exquisite jubilee tribute to Beluga …
